Special Issue out on Contemporary School-to-Work Transitions
We just published a new special issue on contemporary school-to-work transitions in the Journal of Career Development. I edited this issue together with Rebekka Steiner and Andreas Hirschi from the University of Bern, Switzerland. The school-to-work transition is the first significant career transition for many individuals and represents a critical developmental task in adolescence and early adulthood. The topic has become increasingly popular in scholarly research over the past years. This special issue features eight exciting articles dedicated to creating a better understanding of how emerging adults transition from education to work. These studies focus on, for example, job search behaviors, career preparedness, person-job fit, career decision-making, and career competencies.
Our introduction article with the issue's main contributions and a future research agenda is available HERE. You can find the full special issue HERE.
